About Heal
Background
HEAL was established in 1992 by Dr Koneru Satya Prasad, a family doctor from Peterborough, Cambridgeshire. It began with the donation - by Dr Prasad - of his family home in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. It was to be a home for young orphaned children.
This was the start of HEAL and the Ankita Children’s Home.
Since then HEAL has successfully launched another four projects:
- Heal Children’s Village
- Boy’s Hostel
- Makineni Health Centre
- Poverty Trap - Vivikenanda Public School
